I'm Alejandro, a Design Director focused on Web,
Branding and Product for the last 16 years.
Since the beginning, I've been passionate about
learning and refining the craft — exploring different styles, techniques, and ways to apply them depending on what each brand actually needs.
I’m from Bogota, Colombia, and moved to the U.S. about 10 years ago. I spent my first years between LA and Montreal, leading projects for McCann, and later moved to MD EST, where I continued working
leading design projects.

I like to start with very little context. First, I look at the brand through the user's eyes, then from the inside out, taking the time to understand the product, the audience, and the real challenge behind the request.
From there, I help define the direction and contribute ideas that make experiences not only look better, but work better.
I enjoy working closely with different departments to align around a shared vision. My role isn't just execution—it's helping teams find clarity, create momentum, and elevate the final outcome.
Approach
Design Thinking has taught me that meaningful solutions come from understanding people first, not from chasing what's popular. My goal is to create experiences that feel distinctive, solve real problems, and leave a lasting impression.
Whether it's a small feature, a design system component, or a large-scale product experience, I approach every project with the same level of curiosity and care. The best solutions are thoughtful, well-crafted, and built to evolve over time.
I believe great design happens at the intersection of empathy, strategy, and experimentation. It starts with asking better questions, aligning teams around a shared understanding, and testing ideas early before investing heavily in them.
Philosophy
I don’t follow trends blindly, I use them when they make sense. My goal is always to create something distinctive, something people actually remember.don't
Every project, no matter the size, deserves the same level of care, something that feels thoughtful, well-crafted, and built to last.
And yes, I believe humor is a design tool.

Design is the art of improving human experience.
Let's build something people will remember.
